1999-09-13 - KDE 1.1.2 - we are back! (Unstable Update)

The KDE project is proud to announce his first public release, after 20 years of hard development from a team of multi cultural developers around the world. Was an amazing effort of the original dinosaurs to make this beautiful piece of software be available on the hands of our beloved supporters.

Here’s the screenshots on the current status of the desktop:



All teams will celebrate PARTIES all over the world trough this day, and you will be welcome to join any near you.

To run KDE1 on your current desktop please install following packages:

sudo pacman -S xorg-server-xephyr kde1-kdebase

We recommend to save the following as run-kde1.sh anywhere you like and start it with sh ./run-kde1.sh:

Das waren meine ersten Schritte mit Linux. SuSE 7.1  mit KDE 1. Die Installations-CDs habe ich heute noch.


Ich baue diese Woche meinen PC um, danach werde ich mir dieses [size=78%]KDE  drauf bügeln.[/size]
