* A lot of effort went into **Gnome 40**

Hallo zusammen,

bei mir gab es in der Tat Problemchen.

1. Das Update hat lange gedauert - denke das ich vielleicht nen anderen Server verwenden hätte sollen.
2. Telegram Desktop war verstellt , Nachtmodus ausgeschaltet , wiederholte Abfrage der Spracheinstellung, Thema verstellt
und das Taskleisten-Symbol hat sich verändert.
Alles kein Beinbruch - umgestellt fertig!

3. Firefox war seit dem letzten Update recht CPU intensiv. Das sieht nach Verbesserung aus, teste ich noch weiter.

Ansonsten alles bestens.

Hm, das XFCE Einstellungsmenü leidet nach wie vor unter Klaustophobie....

Soll bekunden, das Manjaro nicht mehr sauber runter fährt?
Um welche Desktop Variante geht es denn?

Beim Betätigen des grünen Ausschaltbuttons erscheint keine mögliche Auswahl "Abmelden, Neustart, Herunterfahren usw., das System fährt sofort runter, hängt aber vermutlich mit schwarzen Bildschirm fest. Nur die Resettaste bringt den Neustart. Habe versuchsweise neu installiert, dierekt nach der Neuinstallation die Updates eingespielt. Gleicher Effekt.

Schaue mal bitte in der Einstellungsverwaltung nach, ob bei -> [Sitzung und Startverhalten]->[Vor dem Abmelden nachfragen] der Haken noch gesetzt ist.

Ja, der Haken war gesetzt. Mir ist noch aufgefallen, dass ich nach dem Update beim Öffnen der .xsessions.errors eine Meldung siehe Anhang bekomme, war bisher auch noch nicht.

Also: Mir stellt sich das so dar, als hättest du das Update vom 30.12.20 ausgelassen und das heutige Update da drübergebügelt. Für deine darauf folgende Neuinstallation hast du dann höchstwahrscheinlich auch ein Installationsmedium von vor dem 30.12.20 genutzt. Könnte das so gewesen sein?

Die Installations-Iso war die vom 03.01.21. Alle Updates waren installiert.

Ich habe das Problem nicht, bei ist es wie es sein sollte.

Hast du es mal mit deinstallieren des xfce4-settings

und neu installieren

probiert?

Danach musst du warscheinlich deine Favoritenliste neu erstellen.

Das brauchte ich nicht, aber gebracht hat es auch nichts. Ich werde mir das nachher mal auf anderen Laptops mit unterschiedlichen Bildschirmauflösungen anschauen, eventuell liegt es ja daran.

Ich bekam nach dem Update keine Verbindung mehr zu meinen Localhost. Offenbar ein Problem mit dem PHP-Modul:

Mit dem Wechsel auf die PHP-Version 8 ist, wie sich zeigte, die Moduldatei libphp7.so in libphp.so umbenannt worden. Mit einer entsprechenden Anpassung der einschlägigen Zeilen in der /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf konnte ich das Problem beheben:

Include	conf/extra/php_module.conf

(Anschließend httpd neu starten: systemctl restart httpd)
