Hi community,

this is one of our bigger updates and will bring a lot of different changes to Manjaro. It is recommended to read also some of our testing announcements depending on the topic. It is strongly recommended to do this update as a full update and not partial!. Please use pacman from a terminal for not breaking your system.

So what changed? Well, we started with Plasma5, Gnome, VirtualBox, OpenSSL, ICU, added then Nvidia, XFCE-GTK3, X-Apps, Kodi-Plugins, moved on to Firefox, X-Apps, Gstreamer, Bluez, had some Kernels, NoSystemd, Python, Haskell, then worked on Kernel, Virtualbox, Haskell, Gnome and finalized with NetworkManager, Chromium, KDE Apps, Pamac.

Most might have some issues with the OpenSSL or ICU update. We have some recommendation for some Steam Games.

So take your time with this update and ask us anything if some might go not so well for you. There will be a solution for it for sure. Please give us feedback as usual and report any issues you may see with this update.

Ich musste die gstreamer--good-plugins deinstallieren.
Die kamen damals entweder mit skype oder mit TeamViewer glaube ich. Mal sehen ob da was nicht mehr geht...

Ich habe gestern Abend alle meine Manjaros aktualisiert und und den Kernel 411 gleich auch benutzt. Alles funktioniert tadellos bis auf die Lautsprecheranlage meines Desktops, die seitdem Update leise brummt, was sie meiner Ansicht nach vorher nicht tat. Auf meinem Laptop habe ich zwei Betriebssysteme (Mate und XFCE), bei denen mir Konflikte gemeldet wurden zwischen libsoup und den von Peter erwähnten gstreamer--good-plugin. Ich habe dann libsoup von der Aktualisierung ausgenommen. Danach lief das Update durch. Dank an das Manjaro-Team!

gstreamer0.10-good ist out-of-date und sollte daher besser deinstalliert werden.
Wird auch nicht mehr wirklich benötigt.

libsoup kann dann auch geupdatet werden.

Es gibt doch ernsthafte negative Folgen, und die sind massiv: Seafile (verschlüsselte Datensynchronisation) aus dem AUR funktioniert nicht mehr. "out of date".
Danke für den Hinweis auf gstreamer. Ich kümmere mich drum, wenn meine Datensynchronisation wieder läuft.

Blueriver hat völlig recht, gstreamer0.10 und alles was damit zusammenhängt
gstreamer0.10, gstreamer0.10-base, gstreamer0.10-bad, gstreamer0.10-bad-plugins, gstreamer0.10-base-plugins, gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg, gstreamer0.10-good, gstreamer0.10-good-plugins, gstreamer0.10-mm, gstreamer0.10-python, gstreamer0.10-ugly, gstreamer0.10-ugly-plugins, perl-gstreamer, perl-gstreamer-interfaces
sollen alle weg und durch die neueren GStreamer v1.x ersetzt werden, wenn man sie denn braucht.
