Hallo,

mit Grafik komme ich einfach nicht klar. Ich habe einiges gelesen. Keine ahnung, welchen nonfree ich nehmen müsste.7
Ich drehe echt am Rad. Den neuen Laptop habe ich zurück gegeben, meinen bisherigen Hauptlaptop bekomme ich gar nicht mehr zum Laufen und nun der Acer muckt auch rum.

Wlan muckt auch ab und zu, Verbindung klappt nicht.
Mit der Energieverwaltung scheint auch was schief zu laufen. Dauernd ist der Akku angeblich leer.
Firefox (?) steigt aus und nichts reagiert mehr. Muss dann per Powerknopf neu starten. IdR nach ca. 10-15 Minuten crasht es.
Mal hält er beim Display manager, mal startet er durch.
Ok ich muss die Swap noch aktivieren.

Ich vermute, es geht um deinen alten Acer Aspire 7551.
Ohne jetzt lange erklären zu wollen, warum das wohl der kürzeste und sinnvollste Weg ist, würde ich folgendes machen.
1. Update auf die letzte Bios Version 1.18, ggfs. mittels Hiren’s BootCD.
2. Livestick der neuesten Manjaro XFCE erstellen. Ich würde Manjaro minimal nehmen, um dann wirklich benötigte Programme nachzuinstallieren.
3. Livestick starten und schauen, ob da vom Start weg wieder etwas klemmt.
4. Wenn dann was klemmt, hat man auf jeden Fall eine überschaubarere Diagnosebasis als die vorgenannten Ausgaben.
Just my two cents.
Nachtag: Künftige Installationen würde ich auf dem Computer vorerst nur mittels LAN Verbindung durchführen.
Ungesicherte Daten sind unwichtige Daten. Niemals einer Befehlszeile vertrauen, ohne zu wissen, was diese bewirkt.

@Thatsme. Ist deine Ladeanzeige am Laptop defekt? Ansonsten kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, das du einen Kabelbruch am Netzteil nicht bemerken würdest.

Stimmt die Buchse zum Ladekabel wackelt.
Leider gibt es ja multiple Probleme. So oder so, muss ich wohl eine Neuinstallation wagen. Habe schon Platz auf der Platte geschaffen, damit ich eine Parallelinstallation versuchen kann.

Der Laptop geht mehr schlecht als recht. Beim 2. oder 3. Start, startet er dann durch. Ich habe den Stecker mit Klebeband fixiert.
Ansonsten mache ich erst mal nichts mehr und habe mir nochmal einen neuen Laptop bestellt.
